Two basic classifications of motivation Intrinsic motivation: Arises from a desire to learn a topic due to its inherent interests for- -Self-fulfillment, fulfillment, - Enjoyment and -Achieving a mastery of the subject. Extrinsic motivation: To perform and succeed for the sake of accomplishing a specific result / outcome 13: :45 10 A motivated person stays with a task long enough to achieve his or her goal. Reasons for Lack of Motivation and Enthusiasm: Lack of faith in one's abilities. Fear of failure, due to failure in the past. Fear of what others might say. The habit of procrastination. Laziness. The feeling or belief that there are other more important things to do. Being too stressed or nervous. Absence of enough stimuli or incentives. 5 Experience: That which is experienced through the medium of the five senses, mind & intellect 13:45 Spiritual Experience: Experiencing something which is beyond the comprehension of the five senses, mind and intellect Experience of an event through the five senses, mind and intellect but the reason behind it is beyond the gross intellect of mankind 25 13:45 26 A spiritual experience An encounter with something or someone other than yourself that is not based upon material phenomena. The experience leaves a person with a new and profound sense of awareness or understanding regarding God, a truth, or other spiritual/religious expressions.
