First month of my president-ship is already over! Time really passes quickly Sce we met last on July 18, a lot has happened related our Club its activities. We successfully carried out Tarunyabhan hosted Vocational Excellence Awards function. Two high voltage events same week. Though it really straed all our resources, we could complete it with flyg colours due tireless efforts of teams led by Ann Neelima Bodhani PP Rtn Seema Deshpe. It was a great experience. Though it was a huge learng for me, re was considerable satisfaction of achievg a goal due cooperation of all of you. Team spirit of Metro was peak form ensured that everythg was done flawlessly. Padmashree Dr. Rani Bang was at her usual best throughout project Tarunyabhan. Garware College (Commerce) staff students experienced a high quality semar, judgg by ir exuberance spontaneity durg various sessions. Vocational Excellence Awards we all did our very best. May be we could have gone an extra mile attract a bigger crowd of spectars. It is y who missed a lot. We are also advanced stages of planng with respect or upcomg events programs. August should also be an equally active month. We have host two District Events August. District Youth Semar on 11 th August Two Mutes Jalwa on 25 th August. Both events will be staged Vishwabhavan Audirium of Symbiosis College on Senapati Bapat Road. We will have an formal outg form of Monsoon Picnic on 17 th / 18 th August at Phalode. 5 Tarunyabhan This is a signature project of RCPM. This year it was held Garware College of Commerce from 22nd 24th July. Ann Neelima Bodhani was Convenor. Ann Mugdha Chiplunkar Ann Sangeeta Sontakke were also re core committee attended all sessions over three days. From College, Vice Prcipal, Mrs. Modak, Mrs. Kavediya Mrs. Khilare were actively volved. Dr. Madhavi Mehendaley played a major role ensurg successful completion, as she represented RCPM MES Manegment both. From very first meetg College committee was very cooperative each every aspect. Usually RCPM members/ Anns provide home cooked food Dr. Rani Tai her team members. This year IPP Rtn. Bhavana Chahure, Ann Neha Tilgulkar, Ann Snehalata Chhatre arranged a delicious lunch for all guests over all three days. The Pro Vice Chancellor of SPPU (Savitribai Phule Pune University), Dr. Umrani, was chief guest for openg ceremony. Dr. Rani Tai established a good connect with students right from her first speech. Thereafter, it was just she herself, her team students all way. Tarunyabhan was a successful event this year o. 375 students registered for it. They were all given participation certificates at end. On 2nd day our Club members enjoyed a movie Smile Please with Dr. Rani Tai as an formal or flexi (Rotary) meetg. In begng, students were wonderg about how y would sit through course over three days from 9 am 5 pm. Valedicry function was attended by many College staff members, Rotarians, Anns Annas. Shri Rajeev Sahasrabuddhe, Chairman of MES governg body, was chief guest. However, end y expressed gratitude wards Dr. Rani Tai for comprehensive knowledge of subject. They promised spread same among ir friends behave responsibly as parents. Students were not ready leave Rani Tai even after 6pm. The Students enjoyed dance on famous songs at end of function nearly till 6:30 pm. Dr. Madhavi Mehendaley ok an formal terview of Dr. Rani Tai, maly for whole staff of College. We could get glimpses of challengg experiences her life. College staff n hosted a dner for Dr. Rani Tai her team which was followed by emotional send off by Rotarians. On whole it was a memorable event anor unforgettable experience for many Rotarians, Garware College students alike! 7 WORLD CUP AND WIMBLEDON Actg swiftly on an idea which comes a flash often results a very satisfyg result, when we heard from a friend regardg a sports urism opportunity UK, we grabbed it with both hs it turned out be a memorably enjoyable holiday. We had a group of Bangladeshis seated near us; y were good sports cheered Indian cricketers besides ir own as per performance without bias. This is true spirit of sports located a posh residential area of London, beautifully lscaped, it has 18 tennis Courts. It has a number of cafeterias stalls for spectars convenience. Strawberry with cream as also Champagne is a must have for spectars. We witnessed many of matches from Court Nos 3 18, with Leer Paes beg our focus Men s Doubles at Court No 15. Besides Tennis we also got an opportunity see iconic Wembley Football Stadium. All all a very memorable trip deed.
