As we become one, unified parish, St. Oscar Romero, on February 1st, 2021, we call upon our parishioners to help us plan our future together! We are forming committees to work on various aspects of our new parish. McLellan Scholarship Awarded Each year St. John School gives out Fr. McLellan Scholarship Awards. This award goes to two sixth grade students who embody the ideals of former pastor, Fr. Michael McLellan. Fr. McLellan was a strong supporter of Catholic education and at St. John School and we want to keep his memory alive. Each recipient receives $500 a year for both 7 th and 8 th grades. The scholarship is generously funded through the St. John School Foundation. Psalm 34:18 Participation in our new Bereavement Support Group can provide an opportunity for grieving in a compassionate, nonjudgmental, and spiritually nurturing environment. Although each of us responds uniquely to grief, we can draw strength from those who are walking a comparable journey. Facilitated by Deacon Dan Nelson, who is professionally trained in spiritual counseling.
