TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF BIOMETRIC ATTENDANCE SOFTWARE Required Qty. 01 No. I. Software Specifications: Authentication Server Software Using either Access Server as the Database Server. The Registration station must be supported by a software (preferably on a Windows platform) for accurately capturing, recording and registering the Finger Print Templates for 10,000 users on a centralized server located at CTR, Ludhiana. The software should also have the ability to upload these templates to the Biometric Access Controllers installed in various extension Centre s across the Web based. Automatic Data downloading from the Terminals at periodic intervals as specified by the User without any manual intervention. Raw data should be imported into an Access Server table. Should support 255 Terminals per network. Auto Database backup to automatically back up the entire database regularly, with a provision to specify backup cycle (day), backup time, and location. Feature of Automatic Expiry To remove the templates from the Terminals after an expiry date as specified by the user. All transactions have to be stored in the Controller s memory and same has to be transferred to the server according to the demand from the server software. Privilege management- Users with designated IDs with privilege can exercise the rights associated with the ID. User Fingerprint Registration should possess the ability to update, delete, modify and re-register fingerprints. Facility to synchronize with terminals automatically. When the Controller s memory is full, all records in Controller s Memory must be automatically transferred to the server database.
